My top priority when collecting or sourcing bones for my art is to
uphold environmental ethics and responsibilities.
It is my goal to create as little impact to local ecosystems as possible with my art.
This includes allowing decomposition to occur in natural areas to the fullest extent before the bones are collected, responsibly selecting bones for art and never fully depleting an animal, as well as not causing the death of the animal.
Upholding these values means an inconsistent amount of material available to me throughout the year, however, this is a sustainable practice and ensures that the environment is able to replenish and recover from these deaths.
